Six Sentence Sunday #3

It's that time again... Six Sentence Sunday!  If you missed last week, you can find that here!

If you read the last scene, you'll remember that Clair grabbed her bag and high-tailed it out of Alex's apartment while he was sleeping, but not before leaving a quick note of thanks for all he'd done for her. She heads back to the diner to grab some breakfast before heading out to where ever the road will lead her next. Meeting the lovely waitress, Roz, from the night before, Clair finds out she's actually the owner. She fills her up with food and plenty of orange juice. But what Clair doesn't know yet is Roz is good friends with Alex and has already asked him to stop by on his way to work help her with something. Before Alex see's Clair in the diner, he tells Roz all about what happened, how he helped her and wishes he could help her more.

Long story short, Roz offers Clair a job and Clair feels betrayed by Alex for telling her business. This is what went down:
"I didn't mean for it to happen, it just came out that…”
“Just because you most likely saved my life last night doesn't mean I need to be saved from everything else that is screwed up."
"I wasn't trying to pity you, I was only trying to help," he yelled defensively.
"Well, nothing good ever comes from a guy trying to help me out. There's always something more they want out of the deal,” she said, lips trembling.
"You won't be getting anything out of me, so you can just move on to someone else."Personally, I think Clair overreacted, but hey... who am I to judge?!
