I'm skipping ahead a bit. Clair thankfully came to her senses and accepted the apartment about Roz's garage and a job at her diner. Clair apologized to Alex for the way she talked to him and different situations lead to them hanging out more and more before Alex finally asks her out to dinner.
After a lovely date with quite a few "almost" kisses, Alex can't resist anymore.
Alex stared straight into her eyes, dark under the night’s sky. Her lips parted slightly and Alex could feel her breath quicken on his skin. He wanted nothing more than to feel her lips on his. He slipped his hand further up Clair’s neck and heard her breath catch as if she’d stopped breathing. With his face only inches away from her mouth, he whispered, “If you don’t want me to kiss you right now, you’d better tell me.” You'll have to tune in next Sunday to see what Clair does.

DeleteI like the way you increased the tension in this scene but slowing down the action. Great job! I'm guessing Clair won't say a word.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'm thinking that from the way Claire's breathing changed she's all in for that kiss. :) I'll be back next week just to make sure.
