Six Sentence Sunday #5

Welcome back to Six Sentence Sunday! I hope everyone had a fabulous week last week. Sadly, Monday is upon us and I'm not ready for another work week. Oh well... it pays the bills and I'm thankful for that.

If you'd like to read last weeks SSS, you can find that here. Today's SSS, I'm skipping around a bit to some of my favorite lines from the characters from Taking Chances.

Here is the setup...
Alex and his boss, Stu, are driving six hours for a business trip. Since Alex has hardly had any sleep the night before, Stu won't let him drive. He's not crazy and doesn't feel like dying at the hands of Alex. After finally arriving at the condo they'll be staying at for two weeks, Stu wakes Alex who has conveniently slept the entire trip.
Stu started laughing and took the keys out of the ignition, dropping them in Alex’s lap. “Did you know you snore in your sleep? You do this little gurgling, whining thing. Scared the shit out of me at first. I couldn’t tell if you were drowning or whistling at me. I started to stick a wad of napkins in your mouth.”
I love Stu... he always says what's on his mind.

Be sure to check out more awesome authors and their 6 Sentences here at SSS. Especially, pop on over to these fine folks!

    1. I've wanted to do this a time or two to my husband. I don't think he would appreciate that too much though :) Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Lol! I totally feel Stu's pain. My roommate snores just like that. The hotel stay on our trips to Jackpot, NV. can be quite ... um, sleepless. ;)

I'm very intrigued by your writing Loni, and I value your opinion a great deal. Thank you so much for all the work you did on the piece I sent you. I didn't see your name on the Six Sentence Sunday site ... but I've since added you to my mentions. Thank you very much for the mention. ;)

Great Six! I can't wait to read more!
