Six Sentence Sunday #11: Captain your ship.

Welcome back to this weeks Sunday Six! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend so far... It's never long enough is it??  For this weeks SSS, I'm picking one of my most lines. I still can't believe I wrote it. 

In this scene, Lilly is out to dinner with Drew and his father. Things with his father haven't been that great for a long, long time. After Lilly witnesses the conversation between Drew and his father. It is here she sees how a certain circumstance brings the them full circle and Lilly has an ahh-ha moment.

 Life is like a boat on the open sea. Some days it’s smooth sailing, while others we fear we may never make it through the rough storms. We’re the captain of our ship some days, and other days we’re just along for the ride. It’s about the journey, what happened at the beginning to the end that made the trip worthwhile. And I think for Drew, he was about to reach calmer seas. I was just happy I could witness the restoration of this relationship for myself.
