Welcome! Another Six Sentence Sunday (SSS) is upon us and if this is
your first time visiting a SSS, then you'll have to check the nearly 200
other writers/authors who post a Sunday Snippet from their work.
I'm picking up where I left off from the last SSS, so if you missed it. Check it out here first to get the background.
“But it wasn’t like that, Alex.”He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they were glassy. The muscles in his cheeks flexed as if he were trying to hold himself together. “If I hadn’t walked up, what would have happened next?”He turned back around and started to walk toward his car. But before Clair could answer him, he yelled in a rough voice over his shoulder, “I’m done!”
As you can see... Alex isn't too happy about what he thinks he witnessed.
Well that's it for me on this weeks round of SSS, I hope you take a look around at all the other wonderful Sixers. Please visit the Six Sunday site for a list of all the participants.
*Also, I'd like to mention that Taking Chances is on tour this month. I'd love for you to follow along with all the participants to check out interviews and guest post from me and also enter the giveaway! All you have to do is check out the tab at the top of the page to see where I've been and where I'm headed.
Lots of angst and emotion happening in this snippet, Loni. So well done! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a blast with the tour. Wishing you loads of success!
Thanks for stopping by Mae. Yes! The blog tour is fun... it's keeping me busy!
DeleteVery authentic emotions through this Six, Loni. Great job. I have been beta reading a full manuscript for a friend and it's taking all of my reading hours, wonderful story, though I can't wait to get back to Taking Chances and L.J.'s Guardian of Fate.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blog tour!! I'll do my best to follow along. ;)
Thanks Mel... hopefully one day you'll get around to finishing it.
DeleteGreat tension and emotion...I wonder what would've happened next.
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine. Let me just say, making up is the best part *wink*
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by!!
Love the description of his reaction. The tension is thick enough to cut. And what an exit line! Excellent six, Loni!
ReplyDeleteThat poor boy is so deeply hurt.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your upcoming blog tour. I hope it's a great success.
