Random Quesitons with Loni Flowers

Recently I stumbled upon a site that had a ton of random questions that one could sit and ponder. After reading the first few, I thought it was pretty interesting. They were unique, not your everyday, run of the mill questions everyone usually asks. So I answered them. Why? I still don't know. I worked on it for a few days, only answering a few questions here and there. I probably could have given better responses on some, but I knew most of you wouldn't want to spend ten minutes reading what I had to say on a particular topic.

There are over 40 questions here... so I certainly understand if you get tired, or bored, or frankly just don't care. I did this for myself and if some of you out their learn a little more about me by reading these... well, that's great too.

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? Early twenties
  2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying. How else will you have known you failed if you never try?
  3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? I have no idea. Maybe it’s just easier. It becomes automatic to do what’s easiest for me, and sometimes what we like to do is just too expensive or bad timing, I think.
  4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? Probably so.
  5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? Equality. We’re all human, we all have feeling; treat others as you’d want to be treated.
  6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? To create stories every day for others to enjoy.
  7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? Both.
  8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? Looking at this that way, I don’t think I would have done anything differently. I married young and have two beautiful daughters. I wouldn’t want to change or delay that in my life.
  9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? I said “yes” when my husband asked me to marry him. I accepted every job offer I was promoted to.
  10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? Doing what is right should always be most important in my eyes. If you’re only doing the right things, you’re just getting by till the next thing comes along.
  11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire.  They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.  The criticism is distasteful and unjustified.  What do you do? Kindly correct them on their unjustified comments and set the record straight. Always defend your friends if someone is in the wrong.
  12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Show everyone respect, treat everyone as equals no matter their differences.
  13. Would you break the law to save a loved one? Yes
  14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? No
  15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? Not sure it would be different than most, but I would have started my family later in life.
  16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? Because not everyone wants to be married, have a family, have children. Not everyone like to read and write book.
  17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?  What’s holding you back? I’d love to see the world, travel all over. I need money for that. Lots of it. I’d also like to move out of NC. Not sure where, but family and prior commitments won’t allow that right now.
  18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? No
  19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? Texas, Arizona, San Francisco. I just don’t know for sure.
  20. Do you push the elevator button more than once?  Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? Of course… but we all know it doesn’t make it any faster.
  21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? Joyful simpleton
  22. Why are you, you? My parent’s, my experiences, everything I’ve done in my life has made me, me. And I’m changing every day.
  23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? Yes, I think so.
  24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? Losing touch with a good friend who lives near you. You already have each other and you let things separate. Just because a good friend moves away, doesn’t make them any less of a friend. It’s all about the commitments we make.
  25. What are you most grateful for? My daughters, Kaylee and Carly and my husband for giving me the perfect family.
  26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? Never be able to make news ones. With today’s technology, I can always capture a memory even if I can’t remember it.
  27. Is it possible to know the truth without challenging it first? Maybe, depends on the situation I think.
  28. Has your greatest fear ever come true? No
  29. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset?  Does it really matter now? No, if it mattered that much I’d still remember what it was… and since I can’t remember being that mad 5 years ago, it must not matter.
  30. What is your happiest childhood memory?  What makes it so special? Going to riding horse shows with my family as they watched me compete.
  31. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever? Sure have. Sometimes, there are those moments where nothing needs to be said. You both just know… ya know?!
  32. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? Who knows… probably because there are a lot of people out there who are dead set on believing “their way” is the only and nothing else matters. I think it’s very sad.
  33. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil? Depends on what exactly you’re referring to. I mean… is the devil really evil…duh! But if you’re talking about someone else, it’s hard to say without judging their actions.
  34. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? In a heartbeat!
  35. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? Definitely rather have more work that I enjoy. If I enjoyed it, it wouldn’t feel like work!
  36. Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before? No, every day is different for one reason or another.
  37. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? My family. And since Laura lives too far away, we’d have one last long phone call.
  38. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? No. Beauty and wealth won’t buy my happiness… okay… maybe it would a little. Lol. But seriously. Shorting my life expectancy isn’t worth it. My family and friend are my wealth and I’m sexy as hell already J
  39. What is the difference between being alive and truly living? Truly living would mean I here, I understand and care what happens to myself and the people around me. I’m not just a meaningless satellite drifting through the years.
  40. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? I think we’re afraid, more than anything, to be judged by the people we love. We shouldn’t care what other people think, but as a society, we’ve been laughed at enough for it to matter.
  41. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? When I had a cold and a asthma attack at the same time. I sounded winded.
  42. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday?  What about the day before that?  Or the day before that? Hell, I can hardly remember what I had for dinner last night. I think this question is asking way too much of me!!
  43. Decisions are being made right now.  The question is:  Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? I always try to make my decision on how it will best affect my family first and then myself. Right now, they are more important then what may be best for me. I'm just that type of person.
  44. Did you enjoy this round of questioning? It was… different. It made me “think”… it’s too late to be thinking this deep!

What about you? Any particular question hit you with a response? Please share. I'd love to read what you think about some of this questions as well.

If you made it this far down the list... thanks for taking the time to read :) and feel free to post these questions on your own blog if you'd like.

  2. Great questions! I think I will bookmark these questions and use them on my blog...probably not all at once like you did...waaaayyyy too much thinking! I loved some of your answers. #38 - "I'm sexy as hell already." Classic! and #42 - "I can barely remember what I ate for dinner." I'd have to keep a freaking diary to remember.
